Southeast Queensland is typically regarded as the area east of the Great Dividing Range bewteen Fraser Island and the Gold Coast. By 2020 The Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Byron Bay in Northern New South Wales will be part of one big city and the population will be greater than Melbourne (and possibly larger than Sydney, if the region continues to grow at 3% each year).
